Most of the day went into A Wine App, and most of that into one stubborn scan bug. My phone kept telling me to “move closer” to labels it had just read fine, because the check looked at a list the bottle scan never fills. Fixing it pulled a thread: a wine the app had just saved still showed as “nothing saved”, and a label it recognised from an earlier photo got thrown away because it was my own wine rather than a catalogue one. Six test builds later it behaves. Along the way I found 72 bottlings filed under “producers” like “Domaine” and “Rosé”, and repaired them.
The real turn came late in the day: I deleted the cloud-hosted admin outright. There’s one admin now, running locally, and eight doc rows still sending people to the dead service got corrected. The local admin had seemed broken, but it was only missing its key. The dashboard in mywine-ecosystem got rebuilt live-first, showing calls and AI spend by who caused them, and it dropped two checks that were watching a branch that no longer exists.
Also: planning notes in ideas settling that the scrapers fold into the main repo, a first pass at mywine-docs, a heavy rework on Sodalis, and small passes on ChessLab, The Cloudy Brain and Foreman.
Tonight the scanner stops asking me to move closer to labels it already read, and there’s exactly one admin.
